Did you watch the press conference Konami held during E3 2010 last week? Neither did I, but someone who did posted this video of it:
Having watched that, a friend of mine sent me the link and demanded a musical remix. Well, here it is:

PR companies treating game journalists like a bunch of fan boys that just wanna get some free games is a common thing. Way too common.
That is way I liked this post over at Giant Bomb. It’s nothing new, but it’s always good to show a little bit more of the bullshit to the public. Sure there are a bunch of hobbyist bloggers out there that have little knowledge of ethics and will bend over to a publisher’s request without questioning (and many times without noticing). But that doesn’t mean that the ones that know what it means to be a game JOURNALIST have to expect to be yelled at by a PR guy/gal for a negative review.
Well, I probably went on too long on the childlike behaviour of most videogames PR people, so just stick to the link AND DON’T BE A SUCKA!
Finger, licking, freaking, chicken
Finger, licking, freaking, chicken
Gotta lick that chick
Crust so crispy meat so smooth
It’s gonna sooth my mood
My need
To feed myself some chicken
Some chicken
Some finger licking fried chicken

Me and you girl
Lets collide our protons
Together
Lets find our higgs bosom
They can never take us apart
We stronger than fission
Lets form our own dimension
You my nucleus girl
I hang around you like electrons in s2
Radiating particles on you
I wanna reestructure your gravity
To sooth my necessity
You fundamental to me
Like carbon to life
One look at you
and I set all my photons free

I don’t wanna use this blog as a place to just link stuff I find on the internet and happen to find interesting (that’s what my tumblr and twitter accounts are for), but the text I’ll link is not ordinary, so I feel it deserves “special” treatment.
Shawn Elliott has a little piece on our ancient fears of predators and “natural” dangers that sorrounded us. From that subject he goes on to talk about zombies and other forms of fictional enemies we create to de-humanize our “targets”, be it in war or in entertainment (such as in videogames). And being the great writer he is, he is able to tie it all together just in time to give a great piece of insight into his views on RE5 and the enemies it puts the player against.
